Did you know that November 15 is “Clean Your Refrigerator Day”? It seems to me that we must rise as one and resist by not cleaning our refrigerators! We'll choose independent minds and a little snarf in the butter tray over mindless scrubbing and sparkly bottom shelves!
So, what do we do while we’re not cleaning refrigerators? This run is just the thing. We’ll be greeting the new season with smiles and (probably) tops up while we see gorgeous country and good friends, drive 40 miles over great roads and have lunch at the Hillsboro Downtown Station food carts.
About those 40 miles. We’ll start at North Plains Veterans Park (well known to many – snacks, coffee and gas are available nearby) and cruise those great roads in the Tualatin Mountains. There’ll be plenty of twisties, some interesting things to look at (including one of my favorite railroad trestles), and a bunch of gorgeous late fall/early winter country. When the dust (mud?) clears we’ll convene for lunch. It’ll be a gorgeous day, whatever the weather –
