The Annual Loyalty Day Parade will be held Saturday, May 5th, in downtown Newport. We will be in the parade, which is about two miles long and about two hours from start to finish. 

Hallmark Inn will have a car wash area for us when we arrive.  After all, we need to be nice and shiny for the parade!  It is vital for all Miata Club Members to gather no later than 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5th at Walmart Parking Lot.  The critical time is due to the fact that Highway 101 into Newport will be closed at 11:15 AM for the parade.

In 2010 Mt Hood Miata Club won the BEST CAR CLUB AWARD!  Let's do it again.

When:  Friday May 4th thru Sunday May 6th.  It is not required to stay overnight although the event will last through the weekend. It has been arranged for the special hotel prices to be honored Friday thru Sunday or for any combination of days you wish to reserve a room.

Where:  For those who want to drive out Friday May 4th a meeting place will be announced later.  We will meet at 6:30 pm and leave at 7:00 pm with the group.

Hotel:  The Hallmark Inn in Newport  www.hallmarkinns.com is giving us a good deal again this year. They are holding a block of rooms for us at special rates and terms.  To make reservations, you must call the hotel directly at 541-265-2600 and identify yourself as a member of "Mt Hood Miata Club" to receive the special rates quoted.  All reservation requests must be received on or before April 4.  Make your reservation today!  Rooms are very limited. I made my reservation back in October through another car club.

For those bringing their pets, they do have some rooms available for pets so ask when you call. These are all ocean front rooms and all non-smoking rooms. They also have a swimming pool and fitness room.

Include how many are coming and if you are staying overnight. For those staying overnight we will be going to dinner at 5:30 pm at Georgies Beachside Grill, the restaurant connected to the Hallmark Inn. We'll need a head count for Georgies ASAP as 3 other car clubs (can you say Corvette?) are staying at the Hallmark Inn & we want to be sure to get a table!!!
